Anne Marie Ploug (f. 1966) er grafiker og kendt for sin eksperimenterende og legesyge tilgang til grafikken. Hun er optaget af at undersøge dens mulighedsrum – i forhold til teknik, materiale, skala og placering. Hun arbejder med andre ord hele tiden på at udvide grænserne for, hvad grafikken kan. Hun mestrer de fleste grafiske teknikker, fra træsnit og linoleumstryk til kobbertryk, serigrafi og fotogravure – og blander dem gerne.
Udstillingen Unattended er skabt til Det Hvide Palæ i Augustenborg. Udstillingen består af både tidligere og nye værker og er opbygget som et sammenhængende forløb af meget store grafiske installationer og unika-tryk. Plougs udstilling tager afsæt i palæets arkitektur: rummenes proportioner, overflader og lysindfald. Dernæst zoomer hun ind på det oversete – i materialerne, i arkitekturen og i stedets spor. Normalt ubetydelige ridser, aftryk, mellemrum og forskydninger trækkes frem og får vægt i den nye fortælling, som Ploug med Unattended skaber i mødet mellem sine værker og palæets arkitektur og historie.
Med Plougs udstilling får publikum mulighed for at gå på opdagelse i et ekstraordinært grafisk univers og i et stykke enestående klassicistisk arkitektur. Men publikum bliver også inviteret til at se bag om det ekstraordinære og fordybe sig i værkerne og palæets ridser, fejl og spor. For det oversete har også et liv og en historie at fortælle.
Biografi
Anne Marie Ploug (f. 1966) er uddannet fra Det Kongelige Danske Kunstakademi i København. I de senere år har hun haft markante soloudstillinger på førende danske kunstmuseer og udstillingssteder, herunder Kastrupgaardsamlingen og Horsens Kunstmuseum, hvor flere af hendes værker indgår i museets samling. Hun har også modtaget flere legater og priser, blandt andet Anne Marie Telmanyi født Carl-Nielsen Hæderslegat i 2019, og hendes arbejder er repræsenteret i betydende samlinger som Statens Kunstfond og Ny Carlsbergfondet.

Anne Marie Ploug (geb. 1966) ist Grafikerin und bekannt für ihren experimentellen und verspielten Ansatz zur Grafik. Sie ist davon fasziniert, deren Möglichkeitsraum zu untersuchen – in Bezug auf Technik, Material, Maßstab und Platzierung. Mit anderen Worten arbeitet sie ständig daran, die Grenzen dessen zu erweitern, was Grafik kann. Sie beherrscht die meisten grafischen Techniken, vom Holzschnitt und Linoldruck bis zu Kupferstich, Siebdruck und Fotogravur – und mischt sie gerne.
Die Ausstellung Unattended wurde für das Weiße Palais in Augustenborg geschaffen. Die Ausstellung besteht sowohl aus früheren als auch aus neuen Werken und ist als zusammenhängender Verlauf sehr großer grafischer Installationen und Unikatdrucke aufgebaut. Plougs Ausstellung nimmt ihren Ausgangspunkt in der Architektur des Palais: den Proportionen der Räume, Oberflächen und Lichteinfällen. Dann zoomt sie auf das Übersehene – in den Materialien, in der Architektur und in den Spuren des Ortes. Normalerweise unbedeutende Kratzer, Abdrücke, Zwischenräume und Verschiebungen werden hervorgehoben und erhalten Gewicht in der neuen Erzählung, die Ploug mit Unattended in der Begegnung zwischen ihren Werken und der Architektur und Geschichte des Palais schafft.
Mit Plougs Ausstellung erhält das Publikum die Möglichkeit, ein außergewöhnliches grafisches Universum und ein Stück einzigartiger klassizistischer Architektur zu entdecken. Aber das Publikum wird auch eingeladen, hinter das Außergewöhnliche zu schauen und sich in die Kratzer, Fehler und Spuren der Werke und des Palais zu vertiefen. Denn das Übersehene hat auch ein Leben und eine Geschichte zu erzählen.

Anne Marie Ploug (geb. 1966) wurde an der Königlich Dänischen Kunstakademie in Kopenhagen ausgebildet. In den letzten Jahren hatte sie markante Einzelausstellungen in führenden dänischen Kunstmuseen und Ausstellungsorten, darunter Kastrupgaardsamlingen und Horsens Kunstmuseum, wo mehrere ihrer Werke zur Sammlung des Museums gehören. Sie hat auch mehrere Stipendien und Preise erhalten, darunter das Anne Marie Telmanyi geborene Carl-Nielsen Ehrenstipendium im Jahr 2019, und ihre Arbeiten sind in bedeutenden Sammlungen wie dem Dänischen Kunstfonds und der Ny Carlsberg Stiftung vertreten.

Anne Marie Ploug (b. 1966) is a printmaker and known for her experimental and playful approach to printmaking. She is fascinated by exploring its realm of possibilities – in relation to technique, material, scale, and placement. In other words, she is constantly working to expand the boundaries of what printmaking can be. She masters most printmaking techniques, from woodcut and linocut to copperplate printing, serigraphy, and photogravure – and likes to mix them.
The exhibition Unattended was created for the White Mansion in Augustenborg. The exhibition consists of both previous and new works and is structured as a coherent sequence of very large graphic installations and unique prints. Ploug’s exhibition takes its starting point in the palace’s architecture: the proportions of the rooms, surfaces, and incidence of light. Then she zooms in on the overlooked – in the materials, in the architecture, and in the traces of the place. Normally insignificant scratches, imprints, gaps, and shifts are brought forward and given weight in the new narrative that Ploug creates with Unattended in the encounter between her works and the palace’s architecture and history.
With Ploug’s exhibition, the audience gets the opportunity to explore an extraordinary graphic universe and a piece of unique classicist architecture. But the audience is also invited to look behind the extraordinary and immerse themselves in the scratches, flaws, and traces of the works and the palace. For the overlooked also has a life and a story to tell.
Biography
Anne Marie Ploug (b. 1966) trained at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. In recent years she has had prominent solo exhibitions at leading Danish art museums and exhibition venues, including Kastrupgaardsamlingen and Horsens Art Museum, where several of her works are part of the museum’s collection. She has also received several grants and prizes, including the Anne Marie Telmanyi née Carl-Nielsen Honorary Grant in 2019, and her works are represented in significant collections such as the Danish Arts Foundation and the Ny Carlsberg Foundation.
